Post 04: Rhetorical Context
In Carroll's essay "Backpacks vs. Briefcases" she wrote, "Understanding rhetorical messages is essential to help us to become informed consumers, but it also helps evaluate the ethics of messages, how they affect us personally, and how they affect society" (46). In this quote Carroll explains how fully understanding the rhetorical message is important as it structures the paper. For my rhetorical message i'm going to inform my colleagues about my major. In Doc 02 hope to convince my peers that majoring in business would be beneficial to them.
I honestly believe business is such a good major to go along with considering the wide variety of career paths it leads to! Thank you for giving the understanding of Carroll's quotation in your own perspective.

ReplyDeleteI once too considered business as my major. This major has many of different opportunities for students to get a good job.
